The Iron Knight (Iron Fey Series #4)

The Iron Knight - Julie Kagawa You can read my full review also at http://the-bookaholic.blogspot.comThank you, NetGalley and HarlequinTeen for the amazing opportunity to read this galley! Also a big thank you to Julie Kagawa for The Iron Fey series-- for giving readers this beautiful world and astounding characters.I cried. I laughed. I smiled. My heart fluttered at times. And I cried some more. The Iron Knight went above and beyond everything I had hoped for. I knew it would. I just absolutely adore this series for everything it is. The romance and action. The characters. The amazing fantasy and world of Nevernever.I became very sentimental knowing that this was the last installment of the series. I wasn’t ready for Meghan and Ash’s story to end, to see Puck and Grimalkin leave the pages, and even slowly watch Queen Mab fade away in the words. Yes, I’m a fan of Queen Mab, no matter how “evil” her character may be. I’m a huge Shakespeare fan, and her character has always been a favorite in all things. Of course, she didn’t make an appearance in this installment. Her name was mentioned a few times. I missed her here.Grimalkin. Where do I begin here? Oh, you crazy, totally sarcastic loveable cat. You’d be perfect for me. I wish you were here. You would be great with conversation. Then again… you might get annoyed easily and disappear. After all, you’re a cat. A very smart one. ;) Grimalkin has been special to me since the beginning. He gave me a lot of laugh-out-loud moments. Never have I loved another cat character as much since Cheshire Cat. Puck will always have a special place in my heart. He’s hilarious, sarcastic, and fun. Also very loyal. No matter how much him and Ash fought and threatened each other, he stuck around. That’s because deep down, Puck cared and it shows completely through every action he makes. I’m “Team Ash”, but Puck is dear to me as well. And I absolutely love the cover for this installment that features both of them! The Iron Knight brought on some new- very unlikely and shocking- characters. It was a great journey full of laughs and tears. I don’t want to go into too much detail for fear of spoilers. Let’s just say that if you have read this series, you will not be disappointed in this one at all. I absolutely loved Ash’s POV. The romance was enchanting. The writing was elegant and beautiful. I could get lost in the world of Nevernever constantly. The Iron Fey series will most definitely be one I reread over and over. A top five favorite. The hardcopy will be purchased come release date to complete my series and proudly displayed in full on my shelf. If you haven’t yet read this series, read it! It’s an incredible journey that I‘m sure you won‘t regret! 5 stars!
