Can't even give this a proper rating, to be honest. I'm marking this as a DNF after 60 pages. Just couldn't get into it. The writing style was unusually annoying, as was the pacing, right from the start. It was distracting enough to where I didn't feel like picking it back up once I'd set it down. With that said, I'm sorry I couldn't get into this one. I wanted to because it does have an interesting premise and a promising start. I see a good audience for this book being with the younger crowd, more particularly younger boys around 12-15 perhaps? Unfortunately not for me.
